Spark Grills set out to build a better grill. After years of research and development, the company launched a a sleeker grill that combines the ease of propane with the taste of a charcoal-lit product. We created and oversaw the implementation of a different type of grilling expectation, developing an expansive identity rooted in precision and play.

In a world of hyper masculine grilling culture we wanted to do something a little different with Spark. We wanted to emphasize cooking rather than grilling. Focusing on ingredients that aren’t just big hunks of meat. With the logo and type system we brought in some roundness and small flares to bring some expression. We also leveraged ink traps to lean into some of the more technical feeling aspects of our product line.

We built the website to inspire chefs to go outside. Because this is a new kind of product technology we also wanted to create a super clear articulation of how our product works.
